In preparation for 2026 we will commence drafting class configurations very soon.  It is my belief that our staff know students well and place students very carefully into classes for the upcoming year considering a wide variety of factors.  However, we also value student/family input into the construction of classes.  Therefore, students have the opportunity to nominate 3 potential classmates who they would like to be placed with next year.  Students may not get all 3 classmates, but they will get at least 1 of them (unless there are exceptional circumstances and parents will be contacted in this instance).

I ask parents/carers to have a conversation with their child/children relating to the selection of classmates.  When helping your child record classmate names please consider fellow classmates that will help them with their learning, not only who they are friends with.  Please also consider naming people in the same grade level from other classes as well as students in the grades above and below your child’s grade as there will be composite classes next year.

If you are comfortable with staff placing your child into 2026 classes without this form being returned, that is perfectly fine, there is no need in this case to fill out or return the form. However this form can be completed via paper copy or you may choose to do so electronically.

Forms need to be completed no later than  Friday 12 September 2025  if you wish to do so.
