PRINCIPAL MESSAGE
Ms Todd returns next week
Term 2 has been off to a wonderful start. I have loved filling in for Ms Todd as Acting Principal. I have seen so much amazing learning in classrooms, and I’m very impressed with the wonderful progress that I have seen. Ms Todd (and Dixie) will be back next week, and we look forward to having her back and hearing all about her adventure.
Mother's Day
I hope our Mums and other special females had a wonderful day on Mother’s Day last Sunday, celebrating the hardest and most precious job of all. Our young people are lucky to have such support and love.
Cooler Weather
Please remember your child’s jacket or jumper and beanie as the weather starts to become much cooler, especially in the mornings.
Cross Country
We had our Cross Country Carnival yesterday and it was a fantastic day. The children all put in so much effort and really did themselves proud. I was delighted to see the way our students cheered and encouraged each other. So many huge smiles from children who did their very best. Our staff are outstanding in this area and the care and encouragement I witnessed was fabulous! A huge thankyou to the parents, carers and special people who came along, the support and encouragement you demonstrated made our students feel very special.
In Week 5 the four place getters in each Cross-Country race will represent Devonport Primary at the Inter Primary Cross Country Carnival. We wish them the very best of luck. I know they will show the same good sportsmanship and encouragement they showed yesterday.
School Reminders
- Carpark Safety – Carpark is for staff use only – we want this to be a safe zone for all students and reducing cars helps keep students safer.
- School Drop Off – Students are not supervised before 8:40 am, so please do not drop students off before this time. We want all students to be safe…. at all times.
